Our
Story

— Kindness is Free
Formally Ever After Qld Inc is a community-driven program dedicated to ensuring every young person and individual, regardless of circumstance, can experience their special moments with confidence, dignity, and joy.
Founded in 2019 by Tammy Robinson, the program began with a simple mission: help Year 12 students who couldn’t afford formal wear attend their milestone event. What started as a small act of kindness quickly revealed a much bigger need. Many students weren’t missing out because of cost alone, anxiety, autism, mental health challenges, body image concerns, disability, and social barriers were preventing them from stepping into traditional formalwear shops.
Tammy saw this clearly and built a safe, inclusive, judgement‑free space where every person is welcomed, supported, and reminded that they matter.
What We Do

How We Operate
Formally Ever After Qld Inc is 100% free and run entirely by volunteers. Tammy operates the program from the lower level of her home in Beenleigh (previously Kingston), offering a safe, private, and inclusive environment for students and individuals to choose their outfits.
Appointments are essential.
Tammy also works as a community support worker for the elderly, making this program a true labour of love.
Every item, gowns, suits, shoes, ties, jewellery, and accessories, is donated by the community, cleaned, tagged, and displayed with care.
Our Philosophy
At the heart of Formally Ever After is a simple belief: Kindness is Free.
We exist to empower young people, uplift individuals, and show our community that they are seen, valued, and supported. Every dress, every suit, every smile is a reminder that compassion can change lives.
